Warm the Body
Enter the Heat
Allow the sauna to warm fully before entering. Sit comfortably and let the ambient heat relax muscles and raise body temperature.
Step 2
Create Steam
The Löyly Ritual
Pour a small amount of water over the heated sauna stones. This produces steam (known in Finland as löyly) which increases humidity and deepens the sensation of heat.
Step 3
Rest & Recover
Cool Down
Step out of the sauna and allow your body to cool naturally. Many sauna traditions include fresh air, hydration, or a cold shower between rounds.
