Somerton Park, South Australia

Hot, then cold,
then nothing at all.

The oldest wellness practice in the world needs no app, no subscription and no explanation. It needs a room that gets properly hot, water that gets properly cold, and equipment that does not let you down on a Tuesday night in July. That is the entire brief we build to.

01 · Where this started

Xavi started Norge in 2025.

One person, one conviction, and a market full of equipment that looked the part and did not last the distance.

I did not come to this from the sauna industry. I came to it from about twenty years of trying to fix myself.

I grew up in San Francisco with a familial history of obesity and a relationship with food that was about numbing, not nourishment. My grandfather sat on a couch at 380 pounds, diabetic, barely moving, and even as a kid I could see where that road went. At thirteen I went to fat camp. Lost thirty-five pounds in a month, ran my first mile in 6:30, felt like the man on campus. Over the next four years I put back a hundred and thirty-five, because nobody had touched the reason I was eating in the first place.

The turn came at seventeen. Three weeks before I left for university in Boston my father had three strokes, and the doctors told him he would not survive them. He was my rock, an eccentric antique dealer who raised me on his own in a loft in San Francisco with a view of the skyline, chandeliers and giraffe heads on the wall. I was about to move to the other side of the country, and the only thing I was certain of was that I now had to look after myself, because nobody else was going to. That is where it actually started.

What followed was fifteen years of going properly deep. Plant-based first. Then yoga, five hundred hours of it. New Mexico, teaching, kettlebells. Functional medicine after that, reading blood panels and hormone assays for clients. I got from 260 pounds to 150. More usefully, I worked out why the first attempt had failed.

Here is the conclusion, and it is the reason Norge exists. Almost nobody is uneducated any more. People know what to eat and how to train. What they cannot do is sustain it. Every protocol I ever ran, on myself or on a client, lived or died on how much friction sat between the person and the thing. A sauna is no different. Buy the wrong one and it takes an hour to stabilise, drops ten degrees the moment the door opens, and inside six months it is an expensive shed. That is not a discipline problem. It is a design problem, and design problems can be solved.

So in 2025 I started Norge, in Adelaide, with the crew at Milk Bar and Bureau Booths. Scandinavian standard, Australian reality. Our own people do the install, so nobody gets a flat pack dropped on the nature strip. Every unit carries a five year warranty, and it did from the first month, before a single customer asked us for one. And we build for the Tuesday in July when it is cold and you cannot be bothered, because that is the session that decides whether any of it was worth the money.

In one year

From a standing start in 2025 to a hybrid sauna, a purpose built ice bath, red light therapy and an Adelaide showroom about to open.

The early range, the indoor Stillhet 2P and 4P, Rødning IR, Rødning Lum, Glød, Eld and the N-01, is being retired as stock runs out. Everything learned from them is in the Kube.

02 · Why we build it this way

Most of this you will never see.

The parts that decide whether a sauna is still good in five years are the parts nobody photographs. Heaters, wiring, moisture handling, how it goes together on site. That is where we spend the money and the argument.

Infrared

Low EMF, far infrared

Fifteen far infrared elements at 500 W each, 7,600 W in all. Low EMF is not a marketing line here, it is the reason we chose this heater over the cheaper options.

Norge exclusive

Electrical

Pre-wired terminal box

An external, pre-wired terminal box, exclusive to us. It turns the messiest part of a sauna install into plug and play, which means fewer surprises on your invoice and fewer callbacks on ours. Your electrician runs a dedicated 50 A circuit to it.

New for the Kube

Far infrared elements

No glow, near zero EMF, non corrosive and moisture resistant. The same class of element used in oven technology, chosen because a sauna is a wet room that runs hot for years.

Control

One panel, both heats

On the Kube a single control panel runs the far infrared and the traditional heater, a 10.5 kW Harvia Cilindro under 120 kg of stone. One less panel on your wall, and one less thing to learn.

Design

Our own face plate

We design the face plate rather than accepting a supplier's. Small thing, but it is the part you touch every session, and it should look like it belongs to the cabin.

It ships as eight assemblies. It goes together as ten layers. Scroll and the cabin builds itself, in the order our crew actually builds it.

The floor

Levelled and set out on your prepared pad. Everything above it is squared off this one plane, which is why our crew sets it rather than a delivery driver.

How a Kube actually arrives

Those ten layers ship as eight flat-packed assemblies. Not craned in, not left in a driveway.

It ships flat, in eight assemblies

Which is how it gets through side gates and into courtyards that a fully built 2.2 metre cabin would never reach.

A Norge crew builds it, in one visit

Our people, not a subcontractor with a manual. Installation is included in the Kube price.

Your electrician does the outlet

The one part we do not do, said plainly. You need a dedicated 50 A circuit at the position, interlocked to 43.8 A, and we will tell your electrician exactly what it needs.

03 · The receipts

Claims are cheap. Here is the checkable version.

Every sauna company says the same six things. These are the facts we are willing to publish.

2025
Year Norge started
5-Year Warranty
On every unit, from the earlier of installation or delivery
50 km
Free delivery and installation from a capital city centre

Price

What is in the price

Stillhet Kube six person, $24,995 plus GST. N-02 ice bath, $8,799 plus GST. Take 20% off when you pair them. Delivery and installation are free within 50 km of a capital city centre, and beyond that a distance band is shown at checkout rather than hidden until the invoice.

Commercial

Who we also supply

Recovery studios, gyms, builders and developers across Australia, alongside the backyards. Soul 365 Gym in the Adelaide CBD and Fitness Warehouse are among them. Commercial operators are harder customers than homeowners, which is exactly why we want them.

04 · The people

Small team. No layers.

You will speak to the people who make the decisions, because there is nobody else to pass you to.

05 · Come and sit in one

The showroom, Somerton Park

Opening soon at 44-48 Paringa Avenue, Somerton Park SA 5044. Photographs of a sauna tell you almost nothing. Fifteen minutes inside one tells you everything: how the heat sits, how the bench feels, how quiet it is. Book a time and we will have it warm before you arrive.
