Straight to your question
Stillhet Kube · The thermal view
What the heat actually does
Two heat sources, and they do not work the same way at all. One heats the air and lets the room turn over. The other heats you and the timber and leaves the air alone. Switch between them below and watch where the heat goes.
Traditional. Convection off the stone column, and the cabin stratifies.
Traditional and infrared are interlocked, so the cabin only ever draws the larger of the two systems.
The heat source How the heat moves
Air does the work
The stones heat the air touching them, that air rises up the column, spreads out along the ceiling and falls back down the walls, and the room turns over. A sauna stratifies hard: the air at the ceiling is very much hotter than the air at your feet, which is why bench height is a decision and why the four louvred vents are there to keep the turnover moving.

- Shape
- Hottest at the ceiling, coolest at the floor
120 kg of stone in the 6P against 20 kg in the wall heaters. Six times the thermal mass, and the loyly that comes with it. The heat field shows how the heat moves, not a temperature reading.

01 · Build
What it is made of
The cabin drawn apart, layer by layer: the composite shell, the frame under it, the insulation, the cedar lining, the glass. What follows is what each part is made of.
- Aluminium composite panel exterior
- The outer skin, in Black, Grey or White. The same cabin under all three.
- Structural frame
- Beneath the skin, the frame the panels hang on, shown in the render.
- Japanese red cedar interior
- The lining, the benches and the ceiling, the same timber in all three finishes.
- Framed glass door
- Full width, on a 180 degree hinge.
- 15 Incoloy far infrared elements
- 500 W each, 65 mm deep, so the bench geometry is unchanged by them.
- Harvia Cilindro PC110E
- 10.5 kW, with 120 kg of stone in a column.
- IPX-5
- The rating the cabin carries.
02 · Control
Hold the heat in your hand.
WiFi control on both systems. Start the traditional stove or the infrared from your phone. The stove answers to the Harvia Fenix FX45 outside the cabin, the infrared to the 7 inch touchscreen, and both are on the network, so you can walk into a sauna that is already right.
The smart timer learns how your heater performs in your cabin, in your climate. Ready at 6:30 means ready at 6:30. Hot stones, not a heater that has just switched on.
- 014.3 inch glass touchscreen
- 02WiFi with over-the-air updates
- 03Mild, Cozy and Hot profiles
- 04Smart ready-time timer
- 05WiFi remote start on both systems
- 06Rated for mounting inside the cabin

Chromotherapy · Light
Set the room’s light.
Chromotherapy cove lighting is included on the 6 person: five lamps, 210 cm x2 and 160 cm x3, in the cove where the walls meet the ceiling, and a 40 point starlight ceiling above them. Pick a tint and the room takes it: a wash down the timber from the cove, the rest of the cabin dim around it. Amber for the evening, sage or ice to cool the room down, rose and violet when you want the light to be the point. What the light does to the room, in plain terms; nothing more is claimed for it.
Cove lighting and the starlight ceiling are included on the 6 person.

What the site has to provide
The cabin arrives wired to one terminal and tested. Everything from the switchboard to that terminal is site work, done by your licensed electrician. This is what they will need to know before they quote.

The unit arrives terminated and tested. Your electrician installs one outlet and plugs it in.

Site electrical requirements, all models
- 01 Circuit Dedicated final subcircuit per connection, direct from the switchboard, no shared loadsThe cabin draws 25 to 46 A continuously.
- 02 Circuit protection MCB matched to the terminal rating and the cableThe breaker protects the cable, so the two are sized together.
- 03 RCD 30 mA Type AConfirm mandatory status for your state with the electrician.
- 04 Socket outlet IP56 minimum outdoors, clear of splash and run-offClipsal 56 Series is IP66.
- 05 Isolation Accessible isolating switch at or near the cabinSo the cabin can be isolated at the cabin, not only at the board.
- 06 Cable Sized per AS/NZS 3008 for run length and method, voltage drop inside 5 percentRun length and installation method set the cable size, not the terminal rating alone.
- 07 Switchboard Spare capacity, phase loading and site demand assessed before the order shipsBetter found at quote time than on delivery day.
- 08 Earthing Installed and tested to Australian standards
- 09 Certification Final connection completed and certified by a licensed electrician to AS/NZS 3000The certificate is the electrician's. Norge does not certify site work.

Questions
Asked before buying
How long until it arrives?
The Kube is delivered and commissioned by Norge, not couriered in a box. Delivery dates are agreed at your consult.
Can it sit on a deck?
A deck has to carry the loaded cabin, so it is a real question. Tell us about your deck at the consult and we will tell you what it needs, with a site visit where one is called for.
Can both heats run at once?
No, by design. The stove and the infrared are interlocked, so only one system draws power at a time and the cabin runs the larger of the two. It is also why a 50 A connection can carry a cabin whose two systems total 18 kW connected.
Who services it?
The Incoloy elements carry a lifetime warranty in domestic use and 15 years in commercial use, and Norge installs and commissions what it sells. Ask at your consult for the full warranty terms.
Which finishes can I order?
Three finishes: Black, Grey or White, on the aluminium composite exterior. The Japanese red cedar interior is the same in all three. Choose yours at the top of the page.
